gfxEQ (Audio Visualizer)

Graphic audio equalizer

#utility#audio#visualizer#eq

What it does

Simple

gfxEQ shows the audio as bouncing bars, splitting the sound into low and high tones — a fun visual for whatever you're listening to, and a nice way to 'see' the shape of a sound.

How it works

Simple

It measures how much low, middle, and high sound there is and draws a bar for each, updating as the sound changes.

How to use it, step by step

Simple
  1. Listen to something with the Audio app.
  2. Open 'gfxEQ'.
  3. Watch the bars dance to the sound.

Examples

See the beat

Watch the low bars jump on a bass-heavy station.

Voice vs music

Compare the band shape of speech versus music.

Tips & things to try

  • It's a visual toy/diagnostic for the audio, not the RF spectrum (that's Looking Glass).
  • Fun on a music FM station.
