What it does
SimpleThis is a ready-made FM radio: pick a station and listen to music, and it even shows the station's name on screen. It's simpler than the general Audio app because it's tuned specially for the FM music band.
How it works
SimpleIt listens to the FM band, turns the wobble of the wave back into music, and reads the hidden text data to show the station's name.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Open 'FM Radio'.
- Type a station number like 100.3.
- Listen and see the station name appear.

Compare a strong stereo station with a weak one that drops to mono.
Tips & things to try
- It's the easy sibling of the Audio app — no need to pick a modulation, it's fixed to WFM.
- RDS needs a fairly strong signal to decode the text cleanly.
