What it does
SimpleBig ships tell everyone nearby where they are so they don't bump into each other. This app listens to those messages and shows you the boats, their names/numbers, and which way they're going. Great if you live near the sea or a big river.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Use a VHF antenna (a bit longer than the plane one).
- Open the 'AIS RX' app.
- If you're near water, ships will appear in the list.
- Tap a ship to see its number and speed.
